Could you help a small group take its next faithful step without becoming everyone's daily monitor?
An Oaks facilitator serves as a relational guide under church oversight. You prepare from approved teaching, welcome honest participation, and help people return to Scripture, prayer, and wise community. A co-facilitator shares the responsibility.
Here's where to learn more. Open oaksofrighteousness dot org and choose For Churches. On a smaller screen, open Explore Oaks first. On the church page, find Prepare facilitators and choose Explore.
The facilitator-preparation page explains what comes before leading: demonstrated character, theological alignment, church affirmation, required training, supervised practice, safeguarding preparation, and formal approval. Expressing interest begins a conversation; it does not award certification or authorize one-to-one coaching.
The weekly rhythm is intentionally sustainable. Preview the assigned published lesson and one discussion prompt. Agree with your co-facilitator who will welcome the group, communicate reminders, and notice practical needs.
When the group meets, begin with a welcome and brief check-in. Pray and focus on Scripture. Discuss the current lesson. Help each person name one faithful next step. Confirm support and the next gathering.
Keep the boundaries clear. Saved lesson reflections are private. Facilitators do not read them or ask participants to surrender them. Prayer has its own visibility choices. Do not place counseling notes or confidential histories in online group spaces. Bring urgent safety concerns and needs beyond the group to the appropriate pastoral or professional support.
To ask about preparation, choose Ask about facilitator preparation at the bottom of the page. The contact form selects Facilitator training. Enter your name, email, church, and a brief description of your interest. Then choose Send request. The Oaks administrative team will help clarify the preparation currently available for your setting.
If you are already approved, use Approved facilitators: open orientation to reach the protected guidance. Sign in personally when asked. Your existing assignments determine which groups you can open; this invitation does not create additional access.
You do not have to carry every need alone. Prepare faithfully, share the care, and help people take the next obedient step together in Christ.
